Explore and evaluate a range of existing products- do the same with our own ideas and products against the design criteria.
+ Technical Knowledge
Strengthen, stiffen and reinforce structures. Use mechanical, electrical systems in their products. Use computing to program, monitor and control their products.
+ Cooking and Nutrition
Cook and apply the principles of nutrition and healthy eating. Instilling a love of cooking and opening the door to one of the great expressions of human creativity. Learning how to cook is a crucial life skill that enables pupils to feed themselves and others affordably and well, now and in later life.
Here at Our Lady Star of the Sea we have a dedicated CREATE ROOM. This is a space equipped for the delivery of both art and design technology. All the children are taught here weekly in half classes (15 children for each session). Here the children express themselves through art and design. We predominantly use resources from Kapow and we have plotted the skills for both Art and Design and Design Technology together as they are simultaneously taught throughout school.
