Pupils develop contextual knowledge of locations both local and global.

+ Place Knowledge

Pupils explore similarities and differences between places, recognising their defining physical and human characteristics.

+ Human and Physical Geography

Pupils understand the processes that give rise to key physical and human geography features of the world, how these are interdependent and how they bring about spatial variation and change over time.

+ Geographical Skills and Fieldwork

Pupils use maps, atlases and globes to identify and locate. Pupils also interpret maps, ariel photographs and use directional language. Fieldwork is used to deepen pupils understanding of geographical processes.
