+ Historical Enquiry

Pupils are engaged through puzzling enquiry questions, as well as devising their own enquiry questions, to investigate the past.

+ Knowledge of History

Pupils build their 'now knowledge' and reinforce previous learning through their knowledge of: people, events, situations, and developments, chronology and characteristic features and historical terms.

+ Understanding of History

Pupils develop understanding of the 'secondary order concepts'. These include: evidence, interpretation, causation change, continuity, similarity/difference, and significance.

+ Communication of History

Pupils organise and communicate their findings so that their learning gains coherence.
