...And so the end of term has arrived and what an emotional end this has been! I'm sure if you managed to share our journey to Never Never Land this week you'll have been moved to tears, we all were! Every year I think that nothing can surprise me and again, as with every year, I am completely astonished and overwhelmed! The talent and gifts of every single child shone so brightly as they performed; the comic timing and characterisations were truly a joy to behold and had the audience laughing, crying and interacting! With each performance the children held their audiences for 90 minutes, which I may say passed by with such speed. Children, I am so proud of each and every one of you; you were all truly amazing!
Following this we turned our thoughts to bidding 'farewell' to our Year 6 as we celebrated Mass together; what a lovely way to complete their final year. It is always sad and emotionally challenging to see a group of children leave us but they are ready to stretch their wings and fly and I know they will continue to love themselves, each other and all those they meet as they begin their new adventure. We would like to thank all our Year 6 families, many of whom are leaving us, for your support and kindness over the years.
We finally made it and just like every other member of staff, saying goodbye to all those leaving, our pupils and staff, was so hard. We've known some families for years, each one is in our hearts always and each one takes a little bit of our hearts with them.
Sadly we have to mention dinner money and debts and will be having to spend time next week, sending texts or letters asking for accounts to be settled as we have now ended this academic year and need to balance our books! Please if you can, pre-empt us doing that by going on at the weekend and checking your account - it would so help.
Uniform - it was such a busy end of term we never got to have a uniform shop and will try and organise for the beginning of term. Mrs Love says if anyone wants to drop off spare uniform at hers or is looking for uniform, please give her a ring on 07766 100 468.
Well done to everyone for keeping our attendance so high all year, including our staff team, many of whom achieved a full year attendance.
Our Year 6 were top of the annual table and attained the highest attendance percentage. Well done children!
All your good wishes to us have been overwhelming, we so appreciate all that you have done for us this year and hope that you and your families will have a wonderful summer and enjoy some rest and relaxation. Stay safe; we look forward to welcoming you all back for the autumn term. We will be open at 8:45am on Tuesday 3rd September. God bless you all.
