The Big Bad Wolf this week has been replaced with Captain Hook and Super Heroes! I was fortunate to have the super powers of flight and running very fast bestowed upon me today and for a brief moment, I felt like a child again! It really is a pleasure to be able to enjoy such moments with the children, as they problem solve, deliberate, play together and explore their imaginary worlds.and the possibilities they hold.

The children in keystage two, have continued to enjoy and take part in the various clubs that are available to them. Purple Mashers are continuing the the challenge that Mrs Gregan has set them. The library club children have continued with their novels. It has been lovely to listen to the wonderful reading that is taking place, as the children read to one another and to chat to the Year 6 children about the works of Michael Montpurgo.

Mr Nay has continued to deliver sporting opportunities for all the children during the lunch hour and is so impressed with the children’s eagerness to participate and the progress they are all making. There are frequent impromptu tennis matches, basketball shoot outs and running races taking place around the playground which reflects the love of sport throughout the school

Table of the Week: Keystage 1; Marsden and Bamber have drawn this week. Well done children, you have all been so polite, calm and a joy to be with. Keystage 2: Marsden. Well do to you all for being such wonderful role models to the other houses.

Role Models of the Week: Keystage 1: Maddy Y1 and Hudson Reception. Well done and thank you for being so lovely, kind and caring to those around you. Keystage 2; Faye Y4 and Dylan Y5. You are an absolute pleasure to be around. Thank you and well done!

Jaqui’s Marvelous Manners: As always, Jaqui and the kitchen team find it so hard to choose just two children from each keystage as all the children have such wonderful manners. Keystage 1, Stanley and Rosa Y2. Keystage 2. Esme and John Joseph Y3. Well done to you all for your politeness and marvelous manners!

We hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

God Bless
