“The gift of Play is that it invites us to create without attachment, explore without a destination, and enjoy without complexity.” ~ Vince Gowmon

Play time is certainly a time where you can just be. To run wild on a blustery day, relax and read a book in the mid day sun. Play is a time to run free, to explore new possibilities, to form new unexpected friendships. Games are played with an unknown endings so that excitement bubbles ready for the next break. Many think that playtime is a break from learning however, play is a time of learning. Learning to communicate, problem solve, acquire new skills, to become resilient, to become a new friend. All this in the simple act of play, such a small word and yet so big.

All of this has been so evident today, as the children have enjoyed wearing their PJ’s. Spiderman has played with unicorns, Harry Potter with Stitch, Man City with United, the list is endless!

Well done and thank you so much children for making lunchtimes such a lovely time of the day.

Today, we have said a fond farewell to Mrs Grey. We would like to thank her for all her hard work at lunchtime. We will miss you so much and wish you all the very best on your new journey.

We are lucky to have had Mrs McGow and Mrs Ely join the team. Ladies, you have settled in so well, it is as if you have always been with us. Welcome and we hope you enjoy part of the Our Ladies Family.

Have a lovely, restful weekend

God Bless
