“We are never more fully alive, more completely ourselves, or more deeply engrossed in anything than when we are playing.” -Charles Schaefer

This week has been an absolute joy! The children frequently humble us, with their love, trust and understanding, that they share with one another. Lunchtime fun has been full of those magical moments, where the children can just be. Traditional games of tig, skipping and hide and seek, continue to be played, taking the adults back to their own childhood days on the playground. For the sporting members of the school, football, basketball, tennis and gymnastics, give the children the opportunity to practice skills learnt.

With creativity bursting at the seams, role play games have been in abundance. From mountaineers scaling new heights, Drs tending to the poorly, Spidermen and Spidergirls scaling the climbing wall to children, who are happy to sit, read or just spendind time with their friends. Whatever the children have played, they have come bouncing backm into class with a smile on their faces, a spring in their step and those wonderful rosy cheeks.
