Year 2 weekly blog Friday 1st March "Love one another as I have loved you"

Jesus, has remained (as always) at the heart of our class this week. We have explored what he did at the Last Supper. The children thought so carefully about how strange it would have been for Jesus to wash their feet. They understood that Jesus seemed too special to do something so selfless. After that Jesus explained that he would suffer and they were to eat bread and drink wine in memory of him. The children explored how confusing this would be at this time. In class so many children immediately made the connection between what Jesus said and the mass today. Luca, Heidi and Halle led the class in worship reminding us that Jesus asks us to “Love one another as I have loved you”.

We are trying so hard to be like Jesus in all we do.

Magic Moments

Soooo busy!!! The children have climbed through hoops in PE; researched birds in English; explored inverse in maths; understood what all living things do; met in council and tweaked our class rules! Of course sharing our books with you on Monday morning!
