This week we completed our work on Baptism. The children have a good understanding that this is the first sacrament we can recive and it is an outward sign of Jesus love. Thank you for coming to the book love, the children were so excited about you coming into school. Thank you too for signing and completing our birthcertificates in our RE books that was the cheery on the baptismal cake! In worship we continued to pray the Rosary, this week led by Jemima, Amara and April. The gospel was trivky to understand but with some acting on the part of Alex and Rose we understood that Jesus is telling us to pray and be persistent with our prayers. After this we thought about Harvet andd hunger around the world and in response we wrote a class prayer to say everyday at lunch so we keep asking God over and over and over.
GOING DEEPER IN CONVERSATION
This week we covered our first Ten Ten lesson, this is part of our HRSE (health relationships and self education). We reflected on what makes us unique, different and special. It was a time to celebrate difference and how that makes our class family wonderful to be part of. Please have a conversation about what makes all your family members uniques and special - we filled a little box with images and words about ourselves - can you make a family box?
MAGIC MOMENTS OF LEARNING
We’ve had many different teachers in class this week and that can be unsettling for some classes, but I have to say Year 2 are brilliant and welcoming to all new people. We are so polite and interested every child is a credit to their family!!! We have explored 3-d shapes, completed grammar exercises, collected data in science, worked on the apparatus in gym and all our collage work is on display in the hall. Just super busy. Then on Friday as part of our Star Charter we went to the parish centre to join in the coffee morning. We all made Rosary braclets in school then took the equipemnet to show the members of the parish how they could make one too. Thank you to all the lovely parents who came and joined us.

This week our Virtue STAR is Cora. Cora just loves to learn and she is always keen to go that extra mile. We all loove the extra creative and imaginative things she has made an brings in to show us.
