Our word of the week was Vocation. In our RE lessons, we explored the story of the Road to Emmaus how it has been represented in art. Next week, we are looking forward to creating our own artwork inspired by this special moment.
We focused on Boudicca’s speech and explored unfamiliar vocabulary. We used a picture prompt of Boudicca and her daughters’ statue in London to write thoughtful questions, and then found and answered facts about Boudicca using a text. In Maths, we continued our work on fractions, recognising equal and unequal parts and explaining our reasoning. We planned carried out an exciting experiment using carnations and coloured water in science. We are observing how the water travels up the stem, showing how plants absorb water and transport it to different parts of the flower. In Computing, we made our own branching databases to sort types of dinosuars.
