Our Word of the Week was fulfil. We talked about what this means and how Jesus came to fulfil God’s promises. We read from the Gospel of Matthew 5:17–37 and learned that Jesus teaches us how to live God’s law with love, kindness, and honesty.
We also looked closely at the Our Father prayer, thinking about the meaning of each part and how it helps us talk to God. The children then made beautiful prayer cards for special people in their lives to share this important prayer.
We learned about the life of Mother Teresa and how she lived out Jesus’ teachings by caring for the poor and showing love to everyone. We discussed how we can try to follow her example in our own small, everyday actions.
Going deeper in conversation.
Can you think of people you know, who like Mother Teresa live out Jesus’ s teachings?
What is it that they do? How could you live out Jesus’s teachings in your life everyday?
This week’s learning.
In Maths, we have been solving problems using information from bar charts and pictograms, practising our addition and subtraction skills to answer questions carefully and accurately.
We also enjoyed a special visit to St Bedes to watch their production of Oliver. The children were fantastic audience members and loved seeing the story come to life on stage.
In PE, we have been developing our throwing and catching skills through fun bal games, focusing on control, accuracy, and teamwork.
