Thank you for all your support this half term. Your continued support is really appreciated!
This week we explored two of Jesus’ miracles. We have recorded in increasing detail what happened and what was said. We understand that these miracles were a sign that “The Lord was with Jesus” and he was the Son of God. I’m so impressed at how confident the childen are at using their reading and writing skills in RE- we can’t wait for you to see our books!
Next Wednesday ia Ash Wednesday- the beginning of lent and it is that time of the year when we all make Lenten boxes. We have discussed how we all try to do three things during lent to come closer to God:
PRAY FAST and ALMS GIVING
We chatted about alms giving and how we give money for others in need. As an Our Lady tradition we are asking all the children to make a “lenten” money box. Please take an old box, pringles tin or plastic jar and decorate it in the theme of Lent/Easter. We each have a Year 4 person to give this to and they will make one for us. We will be swapping these on our return.
GOING DEEPER IN CONVERSATION
This week we visited Martin Mere. What a great day out. We learned about wild birds and how some migrate. Can you watch the 2023 animated comedy film “Migration”. What a fun way to go deeper!
MAGICAL MOMENTS OF LEARNING
As always a week full of learning. The trip opened up our eyes to the world of birds - exotic and wild. Thank you to our wonderful parent volunteers. Without you these wonderful opprtunities are not possible. Here is a gallery of us out and about:
