What a special week. We were all invited to Nellie’s baptism - what a joyful event. Nellie’s family welcomed us with open arms and we sat with our very special friend to witness her baptism. She looked amazing in her extremely beautiful dress with a smile that would melt any heart. The children wanted to make it special for her so they asked Mrs Gregan, on Monday, if they could wear their best clothes for this special occasion. I have never felt more excited as they all bounced into class in their shirts, ties, blazers and dresses. We sat so beautifully in church and at the end we sang Nellie’s favourite hymn - Servant King - we did not hold back. Thank you Mr and Mrs Campbell for inviting us!
In school we have been practicing our Easter assembly. Everyone participates fully - but a few children have some key lines and they have gone home. Could you please learn these over the weekend - thank you.
GOING DEEPER IN CONVERSATION
Next week an incubator, cage and warming plate will arrive in class alongside 5 little eggs. Over Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday these should hatch and we’ll have new little class members. Witnessing the birth of another creature is super special. What can you find out about chicks and chickens. Can you make a poster to pin up next to our cage?
MAGICAL MOMEMTS OF LEARNING
We have written our own diary this week indepedently. It is so wonderful to see how carefully everyone is writing. We are thinking about our spelling, handwriting and or course making it fun to read - great job everyone. In maths we have explored multiplication further - multiplying by zero and 1 and seeing patterns and learning the mathematical terms - product and factor. In science worked in small teams to investiagte the absorbancy of different types of paper - we were very focused and organised! Miss Drummond led us in a tricky computing lesson all about branching data bases and Mrs Mather helped us understand how shading is used in art. Sadly, we all got very wet in PE on Monday with Mrs Nay and then the sun came out!!!
