Dear parents, it has been an absolutely pleasure to teach your children this year. Myself and Miss Forster have had so many wonderful moments - too many to count. This final week has seen a great deal of tidying and sorting and the children have reflected beautifullly on their time in Year 2. At the beginning of the year, when they arrived in class they were each given a new class tray. Inside the tray was an envelope and inside a letter from a child from the previous year. This letter welcomed them to Year 2 and told them about all the exciting learning that would take place. This week we wrote our own letters to the children coming up from Year 1. I can’t tell you how moving it was to listen to them write these letters. Not only did they enthuse about learning the handwriting spelling and grammar were super too!
On Monday and Tuesday we had the priviledge of watching the Year 6 play - it was so much fun! On Thursday we had popcorn and a movie- a tradistional end to every school year. Today we celebrated our STAR CHARTER achievements and the class voted for their Virtue Star of the half term and Learner of the half term.-
Let’s Celebrate
The children have voted for Poppy as the Learner of the Half Term.
Poppy your classmates think you are funny, but always ready to learn on the carpet. They say that you always try your very best and you are a Sadie Spider. Finally one of your class friends said “she is just lovely”- I must agree!
The Virtue award went to Dee Dee - The children explained that you are faithful, and kind to all your friends. You are also curious about learning and a very active listener. Finally they also noticed your always loving! What a little Star!
Look who recieved a very special award form Mrs Gregan - pupil of the year for bravery, hardwork and being and amazing big sister too!
Thank you for everything - your continued support has been amazing!!! The gifts are always unexpected and joyfully recieved - your generosity know no bounds!
Have a wonderful summer
God Bless always
Mrs Botchkiss and Miss Forster
