We are so excited to welcome you all back to school and cannot wait to begin our Year 1 adventure together! We hope you have all had a wonderful summer and are feeling ready for an exciting year ahead!
Miss Edwards, Mrs Hunter, Mrs Hennessy and Mrs Davis are all looking forward to seeing you and welcoming you into our classroom on Thursday morning!
A few things to Remember
Please ensure you child brings the following each day:
A named water bottle and waterproof coat
A healthy snack in a reusable tupperware – please send snacks without wrappers! Don’t forget warm snacks can be ordered on Mrs Gregan’s blog.
Jewellery & Watches: As a reminder, children should not wear jewellery to school, this includes:
Earrings
Necklaces
Bracelets and rings.
If your child would like to wear a watch, please ensure that this is a simple analogue watch only. ‘Smart watches’ should not be worn in school.
If your child requires any medication to be kept in school, please send this in as soon as possible and drop me an email to let me know. All medication needs to come in via the office.
Please Label Everything!
Please make sure that all belongings are clearly labelled, from coats and jumpers to water bottles and PE kits.
PE Days
Our PE days will be Monday and Tuesday.
Children can come into school wearing their PE kits on these days. Please make sure everything is clearly labelled with your child's name.
Art
We will have Art on Thursdays.
Please send in an art top for your child. This can simply be an oversized T-shirt that you don't mind getting messy!
Homework
Homework will go out on Tuesday afternoons and will be due in the following Monday. Please support us in this process to ensure children complete their homework and hand it in on time.
Induction evening
Our Year 1 Induction Evening will take place on:
Wednesday 9th September
15:45 and 16:45 - please choose which one you would like to come to.
This will be a lovely opportunity for parents and carers to come into our Year 1 classroom, meet us and find out a little more about what life in Year 1 will look like throughout the academic year.
There will also be plenty of opportunity to ask any questions you may have, so please don't worry if you have anything you'd like to ask!
