‘You are Precious in my Eyes’
At Our Lady’s we treat everyone as precious and we know that God has made us all precious in our own wonderful way. What do you think the word ‘precious’ means? How do we treat others as precious? Today I would like you to think about what makes you precious. Can you create a poster full of drawings that show how you are precious? Maybe you are good at making people smile when they are sad, perhaps you are good at telling jokes or are a fantastic dancer! I can’t wait to see your creations and learn all about your unique talents.
Faith Walk
As Christians we have trust in God and have faith that He will guide us and keep us safe as we walk through life, with Him. Today you are going to practise putting your faith in one of your class friends or family members, as they guide you around a room blindfolded. If you don’t have a blindfold, can you close your eyes really tightly? Prepare the room by putting some obstacles in the way, maybe some soft toys, which we definitely don’t want to squish! Listen to your class friend or family member as they ask you, “Do you trust me to guide you safely around the room?” Listen to their instructions as you walk around the room. Take turns and think about how it feels to put your trust in someone else. How is this like walking with God? Can we see God? How does God guide us?
