What an eventful week we have had in year 4! Monday was our sports day - and I am sure you will agree the children just did brilliantly - such team spirit was shown, but also such determination to do their very best and succeed! Teaching this class is such a pleasure because they are like this with everything - they want to give their all!
In maths, the children were filmed on Wednesday to showcase their super skills in Mastering number. This lesson was watched by lots of teachers from other schools who are new to this super approach to maths, so they could learn from us. I was so proud of their sheer joy and again their unwavering enthusiasm!
This week in our English lessons, we have started reading Viking myths and finding out all about the Norse Cosmos. Children have been doing some reading quizzes and practising their comprehension.
Have a look at the pictures of our lovely English displays below - from our last class novel.
Also this week, we have had our Jim Jam Jog and our enrichment - the children had a lovely dance with Mrs Harrison! What a week!

Our learning certificate this week is another double whammy. A Roger Robin/Clara Clownfish goes to Fletcher for being such a brilliant helper to teachers and also for being someone who pays such good attention in everything. Well done!
Our virtues for this half term are Compassionate and Loving. This week we have noticed Martha. You are so thoughtful and kind to everyone and are often seen looking after the little ones.
