This week we have focused on the words ‘Holy Spirit’.
In our RE lessons we have looked in detail and the concluding rite in Mass and the meaning of the actions and words spoken.
We have listened to Boudicca’s persuasive speech and picked out the powerful language she used to persuade her fellow tribes men and women to join her in her rebellion against the Roman army. We tried to use the same type of language in our own Boudicca speeches.
Fractions have continued to be the focus of our maths lessons, we have been writing fraction notation and fraction names - half, quarter, third, fifth etc.
We had a lovely day on Friday celebrationg David Attenborough’s 100th Birthday. The children put their english and research skills into practise and made some fantastic tri fold leaflets about their favourite animals. In French we learnt how to tell people about the pets we do or don’t have and in computing we used our knowledge of branching databases to create animal databases.
