We have had a lovely final week of the half term. It’s been cram packed with fun, smiles and the sunshine even made an appearance half way through the week just in time for our forest takeover session.
In RE we made beautiful bunting asking for Mary to keep our friends and loved ones in prayer, interceding just as she did with Jesuses disciples at Pentecost.
As always the children have worked hard and grown their brains. Our fraction work in maths is really coming on and we’ve used lots of practical resources to compare unit fractions. Bees and pollination have been the buzz words in our science lessons! We have learnt all about the pollination process and just how important bees are in our eco system. We made some super posters about bees and how we can help them and used the keyword from our science unit to design our own wordsearches.
We loved our forest school takeover morning - Mrs Tierney shared lots of interesting facts with us about bees and we were even able to have a go at making our own bee decorations with pinecones and yellow wool. From den building to hammock swinging, pond watching and mud kitchening… a great morning was had by all.
Design Technology - Tuesday 9th June
Please keep your hinged teabag boxes and send them in to school on Tuesday 9th June. The children will use these for their next DT projects with Mrs Mather.
