‘The harvest reminds us that God’s blessings often begin as small seeds of kindness, patience, and faith planted in love and nurtured through service. As we gather the fruits of our labour, may we remember the Giver of every good gift and share His abundance with others.’
Inspired by James 1:17 and Galatians 6:9We have learnt about the annunciation, when Angel Gabriel said Mary had been chosen by God to have a baby, Mary said yes and agreed to God’s plan.
Conversation starter
Each week we will give you a question that we would like you to think about and discuss together at home. This could be over dinner time as a family, at bedtime, on a walk or even in the car. However you choose to discuss this question is up to you, but the idea is that it will help to give an insight in to what we talk about in school, help children to understand more about themselves or others.
What are you proud of at school this half term?
What adventures have we been on this week:
It’s been such a busy week, painting our Diya lamps, making ediable sparklers and learning about why we celebrate bonfire night and how we can stay safe if we are watching fireworks, firework dances and using a range of resources to use for our drums in music and it was also our first stay and play session.
We have started in our new groups this week, the children all have their sound QR sheet with the sounds we have learnt this week, I am sorry I printed the stickers off but as we were so busy we forgot to give them out. They will start properly next week.
Please practise these sounds at home and ask your child what can you hear at the start of a word. We have been Fred talking (saying each sound) then blending together orally so try this at home. for example what word have I said s a t. ssssssaaaattt sat.
Maths: We have been looking at number 5 and dice patterns, we played a game where you roll the dice, subitised (say the amount, don’t count) the number and showed it on our hands, then we had to put the amount of ice cream scoops (pom poms) in our bowls. Can you play this at home?
UTW: Thank you for those who send in pictures of your home, I will share these photos next week, if you haven’t and would like to you can email the photos to me.
We have learnt about bonfire night and signs of Autumn this week, we took a photo with our class tree, we discovered our tree is a deciduous tree as it looses it’s leaves, we went on an Autumn hunt and found some evergreen trees and found lots of lovely Autumn treasures.
Stay and Play: Thank you for those who came today, it’s a lovely opportunity to see your child in their classroom environment. I am looking forward to our next session on Monday afternoon.
Let’s Celebrate:
