Lenten Boxes

Over half term we would like the children to make Lenten boxes to swap with another child. The children could use a margarine tub, small cardboard box or container and decorate it how they choose. Please ensure Lenten Boxes are brought back into school by Wednesday 21st February ready to swap.

Complete a page in your homework books with writing and pictures about it.

You could find out about foods they ate, their way of life, their kings and kingdoms, religion etc

Complete the purple mash spelling quizzes set. Then in your homework book, see how many of these homophones you can use in a paragraph of writing on a subject of your choice. It could be linked to something we have done in class, like Anglo-Saxons or making ice -cream. You must use the correct homophone for the correct meaning. Here is a little example below:

In the quiet of the morning, as the sun rose, my son woke me. The night before, a bear had attacked our village! There were broken fences and some hen coop was broken too! Two of the chickens had escaped to the nearby river. you could hear each bee buzzing angrily. The bear had disturbed their hives….

I would like you to make, draw or paint a pyramid or pyramids. I would then love you to think of as many questions as you can about pyramids and write them on your question sheet. (if you then want to do some research to find answers you can- but you do not have to) On Wednesday 29th November, we will bring in our pyramids and questions and collect them together. We will then find out more about them.
