Here is a list of words that we have covered this year and practised a lot in class. Which ones do you find tricky?
Pick 10 words and use your sticky word strategies to practise them in your homework book. Remember to really focus on the part of that word that is tricky for you. Particularly notice if it has double letters.
Also, use Mrs Lyons’s strategy of saying the word how it is spelt.
Time to get your Viking or Anglo-Saxon outfit ready! Remember, you can dress up as a typical Anglo-Saxon or Viking. Or you can be a Viking goddess, god, elf, giant or creature.
We would like you to invent a magical object that you can bring with you and explain to your class what it can make you do. This could be in the form of anything - a stone, a feather, a blanket, a scarf, a necklace, a ring etc See if you can make up a little story about it- you do not need to write it down.
Over the holidays - it is all about the times tables! The official test will take place on the second week back.

The Garden of Gethsemane Assembly parts

Don’t forget to come dressed as a book character you love on Thursday. You can come dressed as anything to do with books in fact. If, for example, your favourite books are non-fiction about penguins - you can come dressed as a penguin! If you love Beano comics - come as Beano. You might like football books - dress as a footballer! fairy books, detective books,…. the list is endless!
We would love it if you could bring in one book on World Book Day that YOU ABSOLUTELY LOVE from home. You will get chance to show the class and read it with someone.
It does not have to be a novel - it could be a recipe book, a book for younger children, a graphic novel, a comic, your favourite facts book, a book about your favourite singer, a book about Minecraft - anything goes!
You can tell if a number is divisible by 3 by adding the digits together. If the digit sum is a multiple of 3 the whole number is divisible by 3/is a multiple of 3.
For example 245 is not a multiple of three because 2+4+5 - 11. Eleven is not a multiple of 3.
Whereas 4512 is a mutliple of 3 because 4+5+1+2 = 12 - which is a multiple of 3.
You can tell if the number is divisible by 6/a multiple of six. For starters, it has to be an EVEN number. Then when you add the difgit sum, it totals to a multiple of 3.
For instance, straight away we know 1325 cannot be divisible by six bacuse it is not EVEN.
6588 might be divisible by six because it is even. When you add the digits, 6+5 +8+8 = 27 it must be divisible by 6 because this number is a multiple of 3.

It is that time of year again. Please make a Lenten box for your year 4 partner who will be making one for you - to be swapped on the first Tuesday back at school.
This can be made from a small box or tube, such as a Pringles container, a margarine tub or a little box. Make sure there is a hole to put mney in.
You can decorate it in an Easter style if you like or if you know your partner well, you could decorate it with things they like.
