Building a good vocabulary
Practise our new vocabulary this week. There are lots from our school trip - Cosmetic Chemistry. Also lots of words from the spellings list below.
You do not need to write these down. Instead, use this to really consolidate and grow the bank of words that you understand the meaning of.

Spelling
Group 1 spellers.
We have learned about words which have the prefix un. This changes the meaning of the word to its opposite. Do the ‘COLOURFUL WORDS spelling strategy with these words below. Write the prefix un in one colour and the root word in a different one.
If you keep spelling certain ones wrong, then practise with your Write, trace, copy, hide, write with eyes closed technique (done on previous weeks in a grid)

unfamiliar uncomfortable unimportant unlucky unequal uncertain unusual
finished expected common fortunate
unfinished unexpected uncommon unfortunate
