After the solemnity of Holy Week, we have arrived back into school for the glory of Eastertide; the period between now and Pentecost. We have heard all about how Jesus appeared to those he loved the most. The Road to Emmaus has given us the opportunity this week to talk about our own journeys this year. The final term in the classes will bring lots of challenges, but so much excitement too. We have spoken about what else we would like to achieve this year and how we will get ready for the next part of our journey.
The Road to the Open
This year, for the first time ever, both the Men’s and Women’s Open will be held in our region - Royal Birkdale and Royal Lytham. To celebrate, the Road to the Open was launched and a Trophy Tour has taken place. This week, our Year 5 & 6 children had the pleasure of welcoming The Golf Foundation to school, taking part in all activities as part of the program Unleash Your Drive. The program focuses on mental resilience and being the best version of yourself. I am such an advocate of girls sport, and our girls will have the opportunity to represent the school in a mini-golf competition in summer. Not only did they take part in the session but the Claret Jug and Women’s AIG Trophy also came into school - just an incredible experience for both the children and staff.

Has Our Lady Got Talent?
At the consultation coffee morning, and in lots of discussions, it is really clear that community events are really enjoyed and more wanted. We have so much talent in our school and why not put it on show? At the moment I am taking expressions of interest, depending on how many enter - we may then audition. The children can enter individually, in a pair or group - with whatever talent they have. This is a real celebration of all of our children and I can’t wait to see what they bring. Sign up via the button below! Tickets will be available to buy for the show!
We have such bravery in our children - this will a lovely and supportive environment for our children to shine!
