"I am the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE."

I guess it is a funny saying to say that Holy Week in school is my favourite week; especially when I spend most of the week incredibly sad. But for me, it is the most important part of our Christian faith. There has to be hope and without hope, we would live in permanent darkness. The way the children, from aged 6 - 11 portray the Passion of Christ so intently never ceases to amaze me. I never think that it can be better than the year before but it always is. This week we have walked hand in hand with millions of Christians worldwide - we connect with the global church past, present and future. Year 6 completed our liturgy this week showing us that there is hope after death and that we must continue to live in love, hope and service to others. Thank you to everyone who has shared this week with us.

In our final liturgy of the term, we reflected on the entire Passion together - and our own journey to the cross. I have attached the video for you to share together at home.

Our new Catholic Family

Yesterday, we officially joined BEBCMAT; our new trust. Mrs O’Neill our CEO, joined us yesterday for the Crucifixion liturgy before spending some time walking through each of the classrooms. She has written a letter to our parents and has asked me to share it with you.

Easter Celebrations

With the lovely, dry weather - came the bi-annual EASTER EGG HUNT. The Easter Bunny arrived at school this week, armed with 240 Easter eggs for the children, and some for the staff too! Today, we finished proceedings with our Easter Egg raffle raising over £300 for the school. Thank you for your continued support in all things fundraising for Our Lady’s.
