"We can change the world and make it a better place."

We have had such a super week of learning in year 1. The children have learned with such enthusiasm and have once again made the classroom a positive and magical place to learn.

This week in RE, the children have been thinking deeply about how we should care for God’s world and what they can do to make a difference. The children thought of wonderful ways they can care for God’s world and wowed me with their knowledge of global warming and how harmful littering can be!

In English, the children have been gathering adjectives to describe the forest in our class story, Dangerous. I was so impressed with how the children used their senses to describe the setting in such detail. The children then created their own character for the story and thought of adjectives to describe them. Please ask the children about their new character and what adjectives they have used.

The children are continuing to make wonderful progress in their ReadWriteInc. lessons; the extra practise the children are putting in at home is clear to see!

Yoga stars This week’s yoga stars are Natasha and Theo. You were both so mindful and calm, well done!

Class Tiger

This week the Tiger has chosen to come home with Millie. Millie, the Tiger has watched you being such a role model this week. You have worked your socks off during lessons and are always so responsible and kind. The Tiger is buzzing with excitement to stay with you this weekend!
