This week in RE and our liturgy on Thursday we have focused on creation. We have reflected on the second creation story in Genesis, thinking deeply about the messages God was giving us. We learnt how this account shows us God’s deep love for us through the compassion he showed towards Adam, recognising he needed companionship, which shows our strong relationship with both God and one another. Through a meditation in our school chapel, we also focused on the image above about the creation of Earth, and we discussed how it shows our place on creation- how we are stewards of the earth and it is our responsbility to look after it. During RE lessons we have looked at the science behind creation- the big bang theory and evolution- and even had a class debate as to whether science and religion were compatitble - can we really believe in both. The outcome showed that of course they can …
Thank you to the following children who led us in deep prayer, reflection and song on Tuesday …
The week started beautifully with Year 6’s assembly all about leadership, how kindness is the key to true happiness and how we should all ‘fill one another’s buckets’. We hope you enjoyed sharing this assembly with us and I am sure you will agree we have many budding actors in our class! We loved our forest school takeover on Friday, as you can tell by all the smiling faces! Here is a few pcitures from over the week …

Leading Learners
Tommy- this week you have been incredibly determined and resilient in all of your work, but in particular your maths! You manage distractions, get lost in the task and are really pushing through any challenges you face- we are very proud of you!
Learning and Wise Stars
This half term we will be on the look-out for all the children that are learned in their actions, finding God in all things. Those who are wise, who use their learning for the common good. These children are the role models of the school, who drive their own learning and who have the wisdom to know when and how to apply one’s learning. This week we thank Toby for working for the common good of our classroom this week.
