Another fantastic week was had in Year 6! The children are working so hard both in the hall, in the classroom and around the school. We couldn’t be prouder of their independence and maturity. The play is coming together, children have come much more prepared for each scene, as they have clearly been practicing their words and songs! We can’t wait for you to see it.
Our Sports Day was such a lovely day and a real celebration of effort, enjoyment, and teamwork. It was great to see every child getting stuck in, trying their best, and encouraging each other along the way. There were lots of smiles, cheers, and proud moments as the children worked together in their house teams and supported one another. It really showed that taking part, working as a team, and having a go are what matter most. It was also extra special that it took place on the same day as England’s first World Cup match—just like the players, our children showed fantastic teamwork, determination, and skill throughout the day!
Delving deeper through talk …
Is there anything that you are worried or fear in the future? What or who do you need to have faith in to help give you strength or overcome this fear?
Well done to ***
Matilda, what a ray of sunshine you are! You are working so hard and showing just how you have grown as a learner during this half term. You are using all the skills you have learnt throughout the year and applying it to your work, showing just what an independent learner you have become!
Curious and Active Stars
This half term we will be on the lookout for all the children who are active by taking part wholeheartedly, helping others, and using their talents to make a positive difference, just as Jesus showed love through his actions. We will also be looking for the children who are curious by asking questions, exploring new ideas, and seeking to understand the world around them, following Jesus who taught through wonder, stories, and discovery. These children live out these virtues with Jesus at the centre, letting his example inspire both their curiosity and their actions each day. This week we thank William for always being active and curious.
