Trying to define play is like trying to define love. You can’t do it. It’s far too big for that. Gordon Sturrock

As we come to the end of another term, it never ceases to amaze me how time flies when you’re having fun. The children have grown so much over the last few weeks not only in size, but in compassion, love and understanding and it truly is a blessing to see the bonds of friendship grow ever stronger.

The playground has rung out with laughter and excited voices as games have commenced. We have had the joy of watching mini plays be performed, dance routines having been practiced or developed, T-Rex’s roaring as loud as they could. New and creative games are, as always, in abundance as the children navigate their free time. On occasions this term, the field has been dry enough to extend our play area, giving the children more space to run free. We pray for the finer weather on our return, so that this can be a daily event.

In the dining hall, Year 6 and 5, have taken on leadership roles to help and support the younger members of the juniors. They have shone so brightly and have been so enthusiastic in their new roles. Thank you children for all your help and the guidance you have given this half term, the children and staff alike, appreciate all that you do to make our lunchtimes go so swimmingly.
