Time flies when you’re having fun! This half term the children have looked at how tints and shades are used to enhance their paintings to create a 3D effect. Using their knowledge of how to darken and lighten colours, they then used a variety of techniques from stippling to pointillism to add further detail to their work. Through collaboration, they then thought about proportion and composition to create their own still life to work from. The artwork produced was amazing!
We have now moved onto Design and Technology, where we will be designing and making a pavilion. You may have heard about our first lesson, where we used sweets and cocktail sticks to create framed structures- and we got to eat the sweets when we had finished!
Have a lovely half term,
God Bless
Mrs Mather
