We’ve had a wonderful week full of worship! Firstly, we created works of art in nature. God has provided us with such an amazing world. On sunny Monday, we created 3 dimensinal sculptures in the school garden. These were inspired by the artist Andy Goldsworthy. We loved his work - Below is a film all about him. The children asked me to attach this so you could watch it at home and create art of your own - please do send photos to class via the “contact button” or email l.hotchkiss@ourladystarofthesea.lancs.sch.uk. Then on Thursday we role-played a Baptism. We loved it - we did the whole ceremony and Mrs Hotchkiss mad a great Priest! We have now written a lot of questions to ask Father Peter when we pop to church next Friday.
On Tuesday our Prayer leaders led us in a beautiful worship all about Mary

GOING DEEPER IN CONVERSATION
We completed the final Kidsafe session. This one was about adults argueing. We explore how this is never our fault. We did wonder who we go to if our trusted adults are sad or angry. Please read the parent letter to go with this session and have a chat.
MAGICAL MOMENTS OF LEARNING
What another busy week. We had fun in English making a nursery rhyme viddeo for nursery. All these characters were at a fictional birthday party for Goldilocks. We pretended to be Baby Bear writing a thank you letter for being invited! Maths has been tricky this week - lots of real problems and understanding the inverse relationship. In geography we read a key on a map and in science we learnt all the things living things do - tricky vocab in that lesson! Mrs Hunter loved gymnastics and computing and Mrs Mather continued to build our drawing skills. next week we need to bring our teddies (teddies rather than any soft toy).
LET’S CELEBRATE
This week our Loving and Compassionate star is Daisy. Daisy is always gentle and thoughtful but also love her bravery too- well done Daisy.
Look who’s doing brilliantly with their reading - with awards from the library
