Dear children and parents,

As always we don’t have any formal homework for your half term holiday. However reading remains part of our everyday enjoyment. We will make sure you have two books to read and enjoy. When you return 23rd February you will be able to quiz and start to each your brand new reading target!

LENTEN BOXES - for first Monday back

Lent will commence during the half term. We have discussed how we try to do three things during lent to come closer to God:

PRAY FAST and ALMS GIVING

We chatted about alms giving and how we give money for others in need. As an Our Lady tradition we are asking all the children to make a “lenten” money box. Please take an old box, pringles tin or plastic jar and decorate it in the theme of Lent/Easter. We each have a Year 4 person to give this to and they will make one for us. We will be swapping these on our return.
