READING

Please read daily. We have completed our class novel - “The Owl who was Afraid the Dark” and we are quizzing on it in class! Thank you for all your support at home and for writing in the reading record - this helps us to see the progress and understand the support behind it.

MATHS

We have started multiplication and I have made a little video to demonstrate how were focusing on equal groups and repeated addition and how this links to “times”. There are two worksheets to complete in their homework books.

SPELLING - RED WORDS

We are in the process of assessing the children on their Red Words. These are the spellings in their clear envelope. These envelopes need to be returned to school next week. Please practice the highlighted words with your child. Please be measured. Choose 6 and nail those. Write them on flashcards and pin them up. Ask your child to read, them copy, then spell without looking before finally spelling them with your eyes closed.

HANDWRITING

Little film teaching the joining of “r” - this is causing some unusual formation. Once you have watched the short film please copy the little paragraph in your book with care. Thank you!
