Use your summer holidays wisely to prepare and film your House Captain election speech!

Your speech will be shown to the younger children, so this is your opportunity to make a fantastic first impression.

Over the years, you have watched many brilliant speeches from previous Year 6 pupils, so you already know what makes an effective House Captain speech. Think about what made those speeches memorable and use those ideas to inspire your own.

Your speech should:

Inspire and engage the younger children.
Explain why you would make an excellent House Captain.
Showcase your personality, strengths and leadership qualities.
Be unique, enjoyable to watch and confident.
Tell the audience about your talents, achievements and how you would be a positive role model for everyone in your house.

Remember to speak clearly, smile, make eye contact with the camera and let your enthusiasm shine through!

This video is an important part of the selection process. If you would like to be considered for Head Boy, Head Girl, Sports Captain or House Captain, submitting a thoughtful, well-prepared video is essential.
