Well done to everyone who managed to get there child onto numbots this week.
We have now used the challenge button in class - I’m teaching the children how to use it to help them with their quick recall of number facts. I have attached a little “hints” video to support setting up a regular time to complete numbots so that your child steadily works through the levels - stay in story mode - 3 MINS DAILY - see new video from a parent with grest hints on how to get the most out of the platform

SPELLING

We have continued to explore words with the “ee” sound in them - we have collected words with “ey” “ie” and “e” . Above are 9 words -RED WORDS - these words we have to know and spell in our everyday writing before we leave Year 2. They will appear in the homework throughout the year.
GAME - POPCORN how to play:
Write each of the words on a separate piece of paper. Now screw up the paper (individually) to make paper popcorn. Now pop it into a bowl. Chant “Popcorn, popcorn, popcorn - POP!” followed by “popcorn popcorn popcorn STOP” - one of you takes one popcorn out and write it down three times in your homework book! Have fun!
