READING
Thank you for signing the little grid in the homework book. This has helped me to see who is doing 5 reading sessions a week at home. This is the most important task. When a child reads everyday - progress is easy to see.
MATHS - set up a shop! You will need 10 ten pences
This week I would like you to play shop at home. Please collect 8 items and place a price on each. Please make the praces multiples of 10. Then pretend to buy. This will help the children to see their numbers facts inside a “tens” equation- for example 30p + 40p =70p because I know 3 and 4 make 7 so 3 tens and 4 tens makes 7 tens. I can also say I have 50 p and I spend 20p how but do I have left : 50p-20p =30p. I’ve made a little film to help.
