This week play Popcorn Popcorn Popcorn POP! Remember to write the word three times in your homework book.
How to play -Place the ‘popcorn’ into a ‘popcorn box’.
Pass the Popcorn: Children to sit in a circle (with a whiteboard and pen each) and pass the box around the circle whilst the children chant “popcorn pop, popcorn pop….” until the adult says, “popcorn stop!” Whoever is holding the popcorn box at this point selects a piece of ‘popcorn’ and reads the word. The rest of the children listen to the child carefully and attempt to segment and write the word on their whiteboard.
