NEXT WEEK, WE WILL BE LEARNING ABOUT SEED DISPERSAL. iF YOU GET TIME, IT WOULD BE LOVELY IF YOU COULD GO ON AN AUTUMN WALK AND FIND SOME SEEDS/ SEED HEADS, SUCH AS ACORNS, SYCAMORE SEEDS, GORSE SEEDS ETC AND BRING THEM IN TO SCHOOL.
Maths
This week we have been thinking about numbers in their thousands. Work out the following calculations - this time it IS NOT column addition and subtraction but working out mentally because of known facts.
a) 900 + 300 = b) 700 + 700 = c) 1200 + 700 = d) 800 + 900 =
d) 1200 - 600 = e) 1500 - 1300 f) 1800 - 200 g) 1800 - 900
Now have a go at the 2 units I have set on ANTON. (‘Thousands’ and ‘Place value in 3 digit numbers’) Do as much as you can.

This week we have been learning to spell words with the suffixes ly and ous:
In your books, do our Colourful Words technique:
