Our Lady Blue: Ronnie, Alfie, Theo, Leo T, Emilia, Reyan and Daisy

Representing the school is a big thing and for me, conduct is the most important part of this; ability is second. Playing for school is a proud moment and should be not taken lightly - I am excited that the children will experience this; we have not played Year 3 football before. We all have to adhere to a code of conduct to ensure that the children have an enjoyable experience.

No dogs are allowed on site and parents will be unable to use any facilities there.

Year 5 & 6 Swimming Gala

This year’s swimming gala for Year 5 and 6 children will take place on Friday 22nd May from 9am - 12 midday at Palatine Leisure Centre. To represent the school in the gala, your child has to be a strong and competent swimmer in a 25m pool. They will be racing against other children from other schools. Please complete the form below indicating whether your child would want to represent the school and their preference of strokes; as well as some swimming experience. We can then look to build a team with the information that we have got.

Dance Update

Dance rehearsals are coming on so well, they are all such stars- focused, enthsuaistic and willing to give everything a go! We are so excited for you to see what we have created! It promises to be a memorable experience for everyone involved. To make this event truly spectacular, we need your support…

We are now getting together the costumes and equipment for our performace, to ensure all children look the part and feel confident on the stage! We are running with the Olympic theme and all children have their own colours from the Olympic ring. All we ask that you provide your child with straight-legged, plain black leggings or skins.

Could we please ask for a small contribution of £10 towards the rest of the costumes and the transport to the event, which is now on ParentPay. This will cover the rest of the costume, which is a coloured t-shirts, elasticated ribbons for on their arms, hair and face glitter, hair accessories and as mentioned before will go towards the coach to the event. Your contribution will help us embark on this exciting journey, giving the children an opportunity to showcase their hard work and talent. Wyre & Fylde Dance Competition 2026

Our Lady Star of the Sea is taking part in the Wyre and Fylde 2026 Dance Competition at the Tower Ballroom, Blackpool on Monday 2nd February.

Schools will perform and receive a score from a panel of judges. Each act will receive positive feedback following their performance from one of the judges. The theme for 2026 is "Rhythms of Unity": Celebrating the spirit of major sporting events happening all over the world in 2026 where sport, culture and imagination come together as one.

The competition will mean that we will spend the afternoon and the evening at the Tower Ballroom, but specific details will be given after Christmas.

This is not like the annual dance fesitival we usually take part in, therefore auditions for this will take place next Monday 15th December, during the school day, and the dancers will find out whether they have made it in to the dance competition before they leave for Christmas. The form below is an expression of interest only and will tell me how comitted the children are to rehearsals, as well as whether they will be auditioning in school next Monday. As we only have 4 weeks to put a fully choreogrpahed routine together, attendance is vital.

Dance rehearsals taking place in school hall for 4 consecutive weeks on Monday 3:30 - 4:45pm and Friday mornings from 8:30am - 9:15am.
