I captured the picture above when children were so proud of their RE work this week! Children learned the story about Abraham being asked by God to sacrifice his only son Isaac. It was hard to comprehend Abraham’s great faith - but they reflected on God’s mercy and ultimate sacrifice of His own Son Jesus. The theme of faith has been resounding in our worships this week - from Luca and Bella’s worship showing the disciples leaving everything and following Jesus to the Gospel story of faith as a tiny mustard seed. Look at our pictures below showing our journey towards Jesus this week.
Also this week, children have been filling our class bucket with acts of kindness they are spotting in one another - it is half full already! We have made little hearts to show our love for Father Peter and wish him a quick recovery.
We are so focused in class too. This week we have been busy learning column subtraction in maths, locating countries with lines of longitude and latitude in Geography and in English, children have been learning the great power of description through our new technique - extended noun phrases.
In our Kidsafe lesson this week, children have talked about what to do if they hear a lot of arguing. This can give them Yukky feelings. They have recapped all other important safety messages from the previous weeks. Please have a look at the letter below
