In Year 4 worship this week, we learned about how it takes courage to stand up for the truth. The gospel reminded us not to be afraid to speak out for what is right and true, following Jesus in all things. In RE, we learned about St Paul’s teachings and writings - how he spoke out for the truth, at great personal risk. Children learned about the key messages in his writings and how they can apply them to their own lives.
This week has been very full on with learning and with using our imaginations in our spectacular Viking experience- which mainly took place in forest school. We are doing lots of revision at this time of year, to remember all we have learned in maths, in English and in spelling. The children have worked really, really hard and we talked about how lovely it feels when you get something and feel confident in it.
Viking day was magical! Thank you so much for the effort with the costumes. Children gathered around the fire to tell each other about their magical objects. They made Elder jewelry and used their knowledge of editing photographic images to create their own powerful picture. They also completed a treasure hunt and wrote a description of their character and magical object.

This week, our certificate winner is Danny - for being a determined and curious learner. We love how you never give up when something is hard - you try and ask questions until you grasp the concept. You have enjoyed the challenges this week!
Our star virtues this half term are Curious and Active. This week, it goes to Jack for being a kind member of the class who shows he cares. You looked after a friend when he felt unwell, without anyone asking you to. So kind.
Music stars this week: Isla and Luca
