What an interesting week we have had in Year 4. This week in RHE, children sculpted models of themselves and then imagined how carefully God had created each one of them. THey learned about life before birth and how God creates you with your parents help. Children were very mature as they learned about life beginning in the womb.
We had a little party for Miss Edwards, who I know the children have adored in our class. She is now employed as the Year 1 teacher for September, so the children are overjoyed that she will remain in school.
Then we have had two trips this week - both amazing in different ways. On Thursday, children visited UCLAN and conducted some electrifying experiments. THey worked in teams to create circuits and find out about conductors and insulators. It was such an interesting and exciting day!
On Friday they visited St. Bedes and took part in a day of reflection and prayer. It was a great chance to see their potential teachers and begin to find their way around the setting. Also a chance to mingle with other Year 4 children from feeder schools.

This Sunday 5th July is our Family mass in church. Children are invited to come to this in their Holy Communion outfits and then attend a little celebration in the parish centre afterwards. They need to sit at the front of church with the teachers. Some children have a reading to practice in their school bags. We look forward to this chance to celebrate with you and the rest of the parish.
Thursday 9th July Cuerden Valley Park Rivers Trip PLEASE ARRIVE AT SCHOOL FOR 8:30
No school uniform for this trip - children need to wear comfy outdoor clothes and need sunhats, suncream etc if sunny - raincoats if rainy.
They need to bring wellies to go in the river - in a plastic bag. In their rucksack they need a change of clothes in case they get very wet - and definitely a change of socks.
The park asks for ZERO WASTE so as far as possible, please ensure packed lunches have minimal wrappings.
Any questions, please ask.
Wednesday 15th July 1pm Rescheduled School Sports Day.
