Compulsory Homework
Reading
Everyone has been given a reading target to complete over half term (there should be a post it note in their book). Rocket reading targets will reset and be changed over half term so make sure you are ready to quiz when you come back to school!
Times Tables
Lots of TTRS practice to keep being super speedy- a large majority of the Year 5 Maths curriculum is based on solid times tables knowledge so keep practicing- even if you have already gone green!
Spellings
The children have a spelling sheet to complete which is based on this weeks spellings. The children should be familiar with how to complete this as we have practiced this in our spelling lesson.
Vocabulary check- Our tricky Year 5 spellings are the final 5 spellings on our test. Use a dictionary to find the definitions of these words and write them in your homework book.

Art
The children have began making their pop up books, in which they will create a book about a Greek myth. Watch the video below and choose a myth you would like to create your book about. Note down four main parts of the story for your book. There is a playlist of 12 other myths in the top right corner of the video. Choose which myth you would like from the list of videos.
