Compulsory Homework
Reading
Everyone has now completed their star reader assessment and has been to the library to choose a book. Lots and lots of reading to help achieve our class word goal and to also help bring your writing skills alive!
Times Tables
Lotf of TTRS practice to keep being super speedy- a large majority of the Year 5 Maths curriculum is based on solid times tables knowledge so keep practicing- even if you have already gone green!
Spellings
The children have a spelling sheet to complete which is based on this weeks spellings. The children should be familiar with how to complete this as we have practiced this in our spelling lesson.

Decorate your homework book
Please bring your homework book back in on time every Thursday. Your job is to write your name on your book and folder and to decorate both of these so they are personalised for you.
Optional Homework
Have you never been a Class Councillor? Would you like this opportunity to represent the school council at Our Lady’s? Now is your chance …
If you would like to be considered in our class votes then you need to prepare a short speech, presentation or poster that outlines why your class should vote for you and why you would be good at the job. We are voting next Friday, so make sure you prepare and bring in everything you need before this day.
Eco- Councillors and Play Councillor
Could you write a paragraph about why you would like to be either a Play or Eco Councillor and why you think you would be good at this role? What do you see yourself doing and how could you help? These will be going to the leaders of this council so please either type this up or write on a separate piece of paper so they can be handed to the leaders to read through.
