The focus this week in spelling is silent letters. Some words are spelt with 'silent' letters. This is usually because the pronunciation of these words has changed over hundreds of years but the spelling has remained the same.

Reading
Please make sure you are reading every night for at least 15 minutes! Let’s practise our fluency by reading aloud to our parents and making sure we are reading with speed, accuracy and expression. Parents please check for understanding by continously asking questions about what they have read.
