In Wednesday Word we heard this weeks gospel and we were introduced to the word, “Gratitude”. The children thought about all of the things they wanted to say thank you to God for, Mummy’s, Daddy’s, grandparents, friends, pets, our school, delicious food, ladybirds (we have seen a few of these this week) the list went on and on! This really linked with our learning in RE this half term about creation and how God made all things GOOD.
GOING DEEPER IN CONVERSATION
In Kidsafe this week we have discussed keeping safe when online, watching TV and other devices. The children know that they should tell a trusted adult if anything came up on the screen that gives them yukky feelings or if they are not sure about what to click on next.
Please read the parent letter to go with this session and have a chat.
MAGICAL MOMENTS OF LEARNING
This week we have ended our topic “Marvellous me” by celebrating all of our wonderful selves. The children thought about their favourite memories and really enjoyed sharing these moments with one another. In maths we have been comparing amounts using the vocabulary “More than” and “Fewer than”. The weather was much kinder to us during this weeks outdoor PE! We worked in teams to run, skip and jump to collect a ball and practised our throwing and catching skills. Today we ended the week raising money for Mary’s meals and are very excited to hear the grand total that we have raised! The children were so excited to have their first ever own clothes day!
