In this weeks Gospel we hear how Jesus prepared the Disciples for His departure and told them not to worry, but to trust in Jesus. We have been focused on this in our RE learning, the children have all been busy acting out Pentecost, showing great knowledge about what happened. We have also been learning about Holy days and what this means. The children loved sharing their own experiences and memories of their own holidays, before hearing about how other countries celebrate the special Holy Day which is Pentecost.

Going deeper in conversation

This week we have discussed the word, ‘Trust’. Can you remember what it means to trust someone? Who do you trust and why? Can you remember a time when someone trusted you?

Magic moments

This week had such fun in our PE lessons! The children love to challenge themselves! We have been developing our throwing skills, in particular our rolling and under arm throws. Enjoy the photographs of our indoor PE lesson this week!

A huge well done to Sadie. You are a fantastic learner and concentrate so brilliantly during our lessons. When it comes to your independent tasks you get stuck in with such determination to do your best. Your hard effort really shows in your wonderful writing! You are a real joy!

A huge well done to Henry who has been awarded our Star virtue award for being Attentive and Discerning. You always go out of your way to help others in our class because you love helping people. You really value kindness and it fills me with joy watching your face light up after you have helped someone, or someone helps you in return. You have a heart of gold!

Reminders

Parent drop in: After school on Monday 11th May. We would like to welcome you into the classroom for a brief talk about phonic screening. To share some tips for ways you can support your child on the build up and during the half term holidays. I will also be providing you with some sound cards and different activity sheets to use at home.
