Good morning Year 3
How are you today? Just one more day of learning and then we are on a whole week of half term. Make sure that you work really hard today and stay focused. Be the best that you can be.
Today you will find out why we have had a sweet theme on our pictures this week. Which lesson will it be in? Listen carefully and enjoy! Be creative!
Don’t forget to spend some time reading today. Try to take a quiz and see how you are doing towards reaching your target. Curl up somewhere quiet and have a good long read.

Today it is Times Tables Rockstars again, you really did impress me with how you go on with it since last Friday. Well done children. Today I would like you to go on it again and try to earn some more coins. The Times Tables Rockstars champions for this week are Connor Sean, Leo and Christian. well done to all three of you. Who will it be after the holidays?

It’s hard to believe that I am writing the final blog of the half term! Where has the time gone? This term has certainly been different and not without it’s challenges, but I really couldn’t be prouder of each and every child in Year 2! Everyone has been on their own unique learning journey and my, what a journey it’s been! You’ve problem solved, gritted your teeth and worked incredibly hard. The standard of the work produced has been great and that’s down to your focus and determination. Most importantly, you’ve all remained so positive and have spoken to me when needed.

Here is your maths lesson for today. Also a helpful hint from Stan to make a division symbol on a computer you press down the ‘Alt’ button and type the numbers 0247. It’s very clever! I have been meaning to tell you for a couple of days and kept forgetting! Stan has just told me on Purple Mash, thank you.

Today we are going to learn all about what the Ancient Egyptians did with their dead.
For the activity in the video, you will need:
toilet paper,
something to turn into a mummy eg an action figure, doll or teddy
depending on how involved you wish to get, you could also use salt, a container and some very small pieces of paper
You will also need the flow chart below, printed out.
