The time is flying by - I can’t quite believe we are nearly at the end of our final term together in Year 1! When I reflect upon the children’s learning over the course of this year, it fills my heart with so much joy to see just how much each and every one of them have grown.
We have been very busy Bobby Bees this week in Year 1! Our maths lessons have been full of energy, as the children have been using their reasoning skills to tackle a range of problem solving questions. They have all enjoyed challenging their brains to expand their understanding of numbers to 100.
Following the Athletic’s team success at the Lytham Cluster, the team headed off to Stanley Park on Tuesday to compete on behalf of Fylde and Wyre at the Lancashire Youth Games. Teams from all over the boroughs of Lancashire met at Stanley Park to compete against each other in a range of sports. New for this year was angling…who knew this was a sport at schools.
